  1. Deceit Early Access Giveaway!

Steam Name: Reetik2000 SteamID: Reetik2000 Stream Link (If Streaming): Hours/Days that you can play: Mostly some hours on the weekends.
  2. Muh Stuff

Hello, my name is Reetik. My id on almost all games is Reetik2000. I first found out about ADK during my early years in Planetside 2. Now I mostly play on Ps2 on my PS4 since I got into the beta version on that although I am considering switching back to PC Ps2. Up until now i've mostly been getting tech help on the forums. I'm on steam, uplay, origin(but only to get PvZ for free so don't try to reach me there), Discord, some other stuff I can't remember right now. The games right now I play mostly regularly are Garry's Mod, Rainbow Six Siege, Warframe(also if someone could get a clan or aliance or something on there for ADK that would be great), Team Fortress 2, Unturned, Watchdogs, Fractured Space, and if I need to I can get back into Minecraft. I am currently 16 years old, into engineering, programming, Robotics(VEX), etc. Going to a great school. Mostly play on weekends and breaks. I do tend to be on for long heavy periods of time with long breaks(just up to about a month though, usually a week or so) Yeah, that's pretty much it.
  3. Wndows 10 SSD Optimization

Is there anyway to optimize windows for ssd storage(as in change location of users, user data, program files, etc. to "D:/" while leaving core windows files in "C:/") while also still being able to receive windows updates?
  4. To upgrade or not

Don't forget, you still need games to play on it.
  5. bulding pc

If you're a student then you can save the extra $120 and get a genuine Win10 Pro equivalent for free. It's what I did. http://onthehub.com/download/free-software/windows-10-education-for-students/ Also if you don't have a decent monitor or other peripherals like a keyboard and mouse and maybe some speakers, try not to forget about it and set some money aside for those. Other than that it depends on how much money you still have left to spend. I should also probably mention that the site only gives you an activation/product key with no download link(or at least it was like that when I got it). You have to go to Microsoft and got to this support page to actually download it: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/vlacademicwindows10
  6. To upgrade or not

If you have your heart set on it, cus I do agree with Wacko and Nova, there really aren't that many options out yet. What you really should do is wait towards like black friday or the christmas sales cus it's way too early right now. If you wait till then you'll not only have somewhat better prices but you'll have more options of cards with a bunch of different models released from the manufacturers. Honestly though, just keep the one you have, you've got a really high end card even if you want to go into the VR market. Just switch out your 500GB SSD for a 2TB Hybrid or get another monitor or something. Even then there's still a limit too how much you should spend and upgrade even if you do get an extra $900 a month. Set it aside for like a vacation or something.
  7. Port Forwarding Nightmare

I have a D-Link DIR-890L (aka the AC3200 "headcrab" router) and a Cisco DPC3825 (jank modem-router combo) that Cox gave me. Now when I got the headcrab, I disabled the wifi but I didn't disable the routing feature (aka enable bridge mode) for various reasons. So I'm trying to forward a bunch of ports and for some reason it goes through forwarded on the modem but when I forward them on the router it doesn't work. Both have default firmware. I have two devices on the modem: Vonage and of course the headcrab router. I'm forwarding ports to my desktop, ps4, vonage, 2 hoppers, and occasionally a laptop. Heres a sort of map: Internet = = Modem = = = Vonage Headcrab = = Devices

  9. MSI Z170a MOBO Ram Probs

So my my water cooling(Swiftech H240-x2 Prestige) started leaking and I used they sent me a replacement. To put the replacement in, I did have to remove the ram. After everything was set, I put the exact ram in their exact spots(spots 2 & 4) as before. After I turned my pc on, it wouldn't post and cycles through an error code on the hex display: 0d 19 00 4c 55 I've seen this code before sometime close to when I first built it, but I can't remember what the problem was and how I fixed it, although I think it had something to do with the bios. After testing it a bunch of times, I found out slots 3 & 4 were the only rams slots that would work. If I put anything into slots 1 or 2, then the error code shows up. My Specs: Intel i7-6700k MSI Z170a Gaming M7 G.Skill TridentZ DDR4-3200 2x8 16gb set *Rest of the specs are on my profile.
  10. MSI Z170a MOBO Ram Probs

That would actually make sense. When I uninstaller the cooler, I noticed some of the paint on the board was scraped away really easily to the point when the copper was showing and I had to clean away this rubbery stuff around the screws. Sadly I can check it now, just sent it in. But thanks, that's the only good answer I've gotten after "clear the cmos" and "check for bent pins" and "have you tried turning it off and back on again?".
  11. MSI Z170a MOBO Ram Probs

I also checked for bent pins and found none. P.S. Hospital-grade gause pads are really good for cleaning off thermal paste, especially the less stringy middle part.
  12. MSI Z170a MOBO Ram Probs

Did both, manual CMOS clear and using the switch in the back. Like 30 times with different bios versions. I've used the versions 1.4, 1.9, and 1.B, all three from their website. :/
  13. Workstation/Gaming Build

This is my first build. I actually spent months making and revising this build. Tell me what you think. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/W2N8pg   So far I bought the cpu cooler at Micro Center last week and just order the graphics card yesterday with the "Bullets or Blades" bundle  from NewEgg.   I know it shows $0 for Windows 10 Pro, that's because I'm getting the full Student edition(comparable to Enterprise edition) for free with my student id.
  14. Workstation/Gaming Build

Sorry for delay, for some reason it didn't upload the first time. Here's two pics. I had like five but they wouldn't upload, cam up with error 301 or something.   [sharedmedia=gallery:albums:406]
  15. PC Build 2016

    i7-6700k "Skylake, 16gb GSkill DDR4-3200, MSI Z170 Gaming M7, EVGA GTX970 FTW+ ACX2.0+, Swiftech H240-x2 Prestige, EVGA 750G2 SuperNova, Seagate 2tb Hybrid SSHD, SP 120gb S60 SSD, LG WH16NS40, Corsair 750D Full Tower
  16. Cheap Server Project

This is a side project while my parts come in for my new PC. Check that post out here.   So my parents had this old computer that they don't need and they said I can use it unless the one just like it stops working for whatever reason. It's kinda old and it still has a floppy disk drive which is so dope so I decided to finally make that home server I always wanted.   Here's a list of things I want it to do: Backups Apple AirPrint and whatever for Android - I already have my printers wireless for PCs with my router and "D-Link Shareport" on my router but I want to extend it to my parent's phones and tablets(iOS) and my phone(Android-Galaxy S6 Edge) Minecraft server(at some point) Media Streaming(Plex maybe) More Backups Other Stuff I'll remember later My first problem is that I can't decide between FreeNAS and Windows Server 2012 R2. I get WS for free as a student.   Also would I be able to dual boot it without reinstalling Windows 7 or erasing ANY of the files and software on it? My parent's need this computer if the one at their work fails and it needs to be as is. I'm thinking maybe create a recovery disk, partition it, and then reinstall Windows 7 on a reduced partition through the recovery disk.     Floppy Disks are dope!
  17. Programming Team Names

My friends and I are going to this coding contest at this local university and we need team names.   So far I've got:   //noComment Byte Me* Team Free Pizza Here for the Pizza The Debuggers The Void Bug Busters Bit Masters Bits Please The Brogrammers SQL Injectors Team Discovery Channel Team Analog [Insert Witty Name Here] [Insert Cool Name Here] * This was already rejected.  They have to be "School Appropriate".   Post your suggestions below.
  18. Workstation/Gaming Build

I'm going to post pics of it once I get everything set up and migrated from my laptop.
  19. Workstation/Gaming Build

Just got all my parts in. Total cost ended up in like around $1700 but I have a problem. Has anyone ever gotten to clean install Win10 Student edition? First I had problems just finding the isos for it, then I had problems getting that iso on a usb until I found out I still had ONE FINAL BLANK DISC, after that who mess I get a continuous message saying it needs some media driver for the "hard disc drive, usb, or disc drive". I'm losing my mind over this.
  20. Workstation/Gaming Build

I've mainly used newegg but also bought stuff from amazon and B&H. It's pretty accurate. I've even checked it with the lowest listed prices on google shopping searches.
  21. Workstation/Gaming Build

Thanks. I also found out that caviar drives are older. 2TB it is.
  22. Workstation/Gaming Build

I can't decide on my storage. I need at minimum 1TB but 2TB would be optimal. My SSD is about $45 also I kinda need the enclosure it comes with for some other drives. Here are my options:   1TB WD Caviar Blue  ~$50 or 2TB Seagate Barracuda ~$65       Also I updated my parts list. My cousin said since there were some better deals that I could get those. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RMqB23 Just got the my ram in today.
  23. Workstation/Gaming Build

Another Upate: Returning the Swiftech H240-X CPU water cooler luckily with the return policy expiring THIS FRIDAY. Changed my mind after I saw this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeHUUDh_DtY The H240-X2 is actually cheaper than what I paid for the H240-X which was about $170. I had to call the Micro Center in Kansas where I bought it from and asked them if I could just ship it back there and they made an exception because I bought the cooler when I was visiting some family there and I live in Arkansas and to go back there to return it would take about a 5 hour drive. I have never been so excited and disappointed at the same time.         R.I.P David Bowie  ☮♫
  24. Workstation/Gaming Build

My parent's had more old computers that they were throwing out and my mom said I could salvage some parts that were still somewhat relevant. Found these:   Multi-format card reader: [sharedmedia=gallery:images:2175]   Floppy drive and card reader: [sharedmedia=gallery:images:2176]   Phone jack(cus why not): [sharedmedia=gallery:images:2177] [Emergency Dial-Up] |B)  |B)
