  3. iOS vs Android

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9QSFO0zx60&list=UUXuqSBlHAE6Xw-yeJA0Tunw   The long fight over Android and iOS and what a long fight it will forever be cause just like the console race nobody will ever "technically" win this battle. Anyways what are your thoughts on Android and iOS I will give my thoughts on both below starting with iOS and I have personally used both products up to their current and most updated form.   iOS: I'm going to start with this topic on the iPhones nice and elegant design yes and I hope everyone else can admit the iPhone is a much better looking phone than almost every Android device out there all the way down from it's lovely retina display to it's nice metal and curvy corners.   Now let's get to the technology Pros and Cons of owning a iPhone over Android.     Pros: I hate to say this but it's a Apple device so you're very likely to have the same phone as other people so sending messages to each other isn't only free if you have limited minutes but you can see when someone gets the message you send and when they've actually seen it.   The latest iPhone 5S is the only cellphone right now on a 64bit operating system and (Android has support for 64bit but no Android device currently holds it) is noticeably smoother when scrolling through screens and basic web browsing.   Siri is actually useful you'd think it was just a giant gimmick but I found myself throughout the years of using a iOS device that Siri came in handy if I needed a question answered or simply had a hard time finding a contact in my phone. (Siri is also very awesome while driving)   Cons: The price of the iPhone compared to Android devices is complete bullshit and is probably one of the largest reasons a lot look over to Android.   Breaking a iPhone can be extremely easy as simple drop and it's a goner so most people use giant cases just to protect their small phone.   I don't care what Linus says APPLE MAPS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Tons of apps in the Apple store will cost anywhere from $1-2 even though they're free on Android.     Now let's get a little into Android phones and their pros and cons.   Pros:   As said before Android phones are way more cheap to purchase.   Most Android apps in the Google play store are either free or $1 you rarely ever see anything for more than that and if you do you can usually find another app that does the same exact thing for free.   Google support is amazing in everything they do.   Now for technology pros I personally find Android phones these days to have way better camera features and quality in them, a lot more processing power goes into Android devices these days especially Android Tablets are pretty much gaming devices.   Most new Android devices have a way better battery life then a iPhone   Cons:   Androids build quality is a little meh but is getting better these days while Samsung has been using a fake leather rather than cheap plastic like on the Samsung Galaxy S1-S4 and HTC has been rather nice with build quality as well.   I'm going to actually finish here just cause i'm rather tired of typing :P but I think we all know what the cons of a Android device are.
  4. Youtube buys Twitch for $1 Billion?

  5. HALO 1-4 as ONE GAME?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bww9A-f8v0M   We'd heard rumors before that Microsoft was working on an anniversary Edition of Halo 2, but it looks like the scope of Master Chief's revival is going to be quite a bit larger on Xbox One. Sources report that HD versions of Halo 1 through Halo 4 are coming to Microsoft's latest console with a Master Chief Edition.   The collection is coming to "refresh audiences' memories" prior to the release of Halo 5, as reported by tech blog Engadget. No details were provided on whether the game would come out digitally or in a physical disc, nor what the expected frame-rate and resolution would be. However, it's unlikely that the game would also include side-stories like Halo: Reach and Halo: ODST.   The developer is also unconfirmed, but 343 Industries received help on the 2011 Anniversary Edtion of the original Halo from Saber Interactive. And in a previous story, a Microsoft representative mentioned that in the "fictitious world where [Halo 2 Aniversary Edition] existed ... it has to be just the multiplayer experience that we all found in that first Halo 2 game."   People have tried to reach out to Microsoft for a response but they refuse to comment on rumors and speculation.
  6. Youtube buys Twitch for $1 Billion?

@Viper I personally wouldn't mind if Twitch sold to Google, as far as iv'e seen Google has never really done wrong by anybody maybe a inconvenience with that whole Google+ YouTube thing for awhile but never something completely wrong. It would be nice for Twitch to be there own little thing but with Google on their side Twitch would have so much more money to expand their horizons and become a bigger and better place to watch people stream.   Benefits I can see in the near future: Possible support for streaming up to 4K, of course most people can't view 4K or even have internet to watch a 4K video without crazy lag.    Instead choosing between medium, high and source I think with Google they would allow the people who watch to simply pick between 320p 720p and 1080p possible 4K in a few years to come.   Way better App support for iPhone and Android devices.   and just more i'm sure but I can't think of it all right this moment.

  8. Youtube buys Twitch for $1 Billion?

According to various websites, especially Variety, Twitch has recently been acquired by Youtube for $1billion. The deal is expected to be announced imminently. Twitch was launched in 2011 and is the largest streaming website for gamers with over  43 million viewers a month. Being one of the most popular services used by modern gamers, it is no wonder that Google wants a piece of it.

  10.   Any time you transition to a new platform, there is the opportunity to look at things with a new perspective. For us at 343 Industries, the launch of the Xbox One was an opportunity to think about what stories we wanted to tell, how to tell them, and how best to push the “Halo” franchise to showcase the platform. And, most importantly, combining our passion for “Halo” with the vocal and informative input from our fans.   “Halo” isn’t simply a perennial game franchise, it’s a part of the Xbox platform itself. In terms of innovation and ideation, it’s sometimes important to people who might not even play “Halo.” And of course it’s a passion and an essential experience for two generations of gamers.  So we asked ourselves, how do we begin and where do we go with “Halo” on Xbox One?    In the past, “Halo” games have pushed the Xbox forward, showcasing the console and its ecosystem in entertaining and innovative ways. Making a “Halo” game that runs at 60 frames per second, on dedicated servers, with the scope, features and scale we’ve been dreaming of for more than a decade, is non-trivial.  It’s a task that we, at 343 Industries, are taking very seriously to ensure we deliver the “Halo” game that fans deserve, and a game that is built from the ground up for Xbox One.      I’m happy to reveal that “Halo 5: Guardians,” the next installment in the legendary saga of the Master Chief, will launch on Xbox One in fall of 2015.  In the tradition of every “Halo” game since its debut in 2001, it is a massive and exciting project.   “Halo 5: Guardians” is a bigger effort than “Halo 4.”  That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what’s now a brand new and more powerful engine.  Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we’ve invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One’s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen.   It’s a game that will hopefully demonstrate the talent, learnings and abilities of the 343 Industries team. A game that will incorporate the things we learned from “Halo 4” about technology, aesthetics, performance and scale – and perhaps more importantly, understanding and embracing a community of gamers who love what lies at the heart of this game, and the limitless potential of the “Halo” universe.   And 2015 won’t simply be the year of “Halo 5: Guardians,” it will also be a year that offers us a unique opportunity. The opportunity to invite old friends and new audiences into that universe through the “Halo” television series, launched as a unique collaboration with Steven Spielberg and some of the finest creative minds in the business.  A series that will stand alone, as well as complement and enrich the game experience.  We’ll have more to share on the “Halo” television series as we near its projected fall 2015 release. - http://news.xbox.com/2014/05/games-halo-journey-announcement   Youtube link below is to Inside Gaming Daily, Good funny people to watch on game news I highly recommend you watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIkuF-ztUxo
  11. WELCOME TO KYRAT! I can't wait for this to come out, I had some pretty epic moments in Far Cry 3! And don't get me started on Blood Dragon... What were your favourite moments in FC3, and what do you guys think about FC4? Announced today, Far Cry 4 will release this year on November 18 in the US and November 20 in EMEA territories. The game will be available on both generations of consoles – PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 – along with Windows PC.   Taking a sharp turn away from the lush island jungles of the top-rated Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4 is set in Kyrat, an untamed region currently ruled by a despotic self-appointed king. But don’t be lulled into a false sense of security by the achingly beautiful views; Kyrat is a wild land full of perils. Once again, players will be able to craft their own stories as they travel through this exotic open world teeming with wildlife – using their wits along with an assortment of powerful weapons and diverse vehicles.   “Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations,” said Dan Hay, Executive Producer. “Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.”   Development on Far Cry 4 is being led by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Kiev.   For an exclusive first look at Far Cry 4, be sure to tune in to Ubisoft’s media briefing at E3.
  12. Cryo-TEC Cooling System

http://www.digitalstormonline.com/cryo-tec.asp     Digital Storm Empowers Supreme Processor Performance with new Cryo-TEC Cooling System in Gaming Computers   To demonstrate the sheer power of the Cryo-TEC system, we let it sit for 10 minutes. A thick layer of frost began to form as the thermo-electric cold plates dropped the temps on the copper side below 0°C! Don't worry, the CPU socket is fully insolated from condensation. By placing the CPU in direct contact with the thermo-electric cold plates, the Cryo-TEC system is more efficient in lowering processor temperatures below 0°C and increasing performance. The cooling system also includes a control board that optimizes cooling power and efficiency. How does -14°C sound on the CPU cores on a six-core Intel processor running at 4.6GHz? You can now achieve record breaking performance with a Digital Storm gaming pc by overclocking the processor to extreme levels while keeping the CPU rock solid stable at below 0°C temperatures. The design of the new Cryo-TEC cooling system is elegantly simple allowing for installation on almost all customized Digital Storm gaming computers. The system requires only a chassis large enough to fit a 360mm liquid cooling radiator to cool the thermo-electric modules. The HailStorm gaming pc fits the Sub-Zero Cryo-TEC System like a glove. All of the core components of the cooling system can be seamlessly integrated inside the entire chassis. It's truly a work of art which can't be enjoyed in pictures, but, must be experienced in person. A custom designed LCD screen reflects the actual temperature of the Cryo-TEC system that is directly contacting the CPU. Enjoy the beautiful craftsmanship that gets put into each and every one of our signature Sub-Zero Cryo-TEC Systems. A top-end gaming desktop such as this one would not be complete unless we coupled it with an array of high-end 45° angle compression fittings and quick disconnect units. A massive cylindrical reservoir tank is mounted near the motherboard tray. Its sleek high-end eye-candy appeal lets others know that you got some serious hardware inside your system.
  13. New PC?

You're welcome :D  i'm not really into PS2 all the much though but perhaps  i'll get it another chance sometime.
  14. Xbox One WITH NO KINECT!?

@[member='Peacelulz'] Oh yeah I was only making a joke about the privacy thing I know the Kinect doesn't invade privacy and it is good for some things but gamers are on a budget and having to pay an extra $100 for something nobody wants to use for gaming is just ridiculous in some peoples mind, and I will probably buy a kinect at some point when i'm drunk and have friends over who want to play some game dancing game.   But yeah now that the Xbox One is only $399 I think a lot of us can say the console is probably worth buying even though the Playstation 4 is obviously the better choice from a tech stand point but perhaps not a preferable stand point. In my opinion you should always buy the console that fits your needs such as, do your friends play that console or are the games you're interested in on that console, whatever anyones choice is I recommend they look at the pros and cons of each system but don't look at the tech inside the console as a pro cause it wont make a noticeable difference.
  15. Xbox One WITH NO KINECT!?

Yup you heard it here the Xbox One is now being sold at  a price of $399 WITHOUT the Kinect :D    I know we're mostly all PC gamers here but tech news is tech news and this might make a few people happy, perhaps those who would like to play  Xbox One exclusives like the next Halo game.   I personally will probably now go buy a Xbox One today since the evil eye of the NSA isn't required to be attached to it (kidding about the NSA part by the way) or am I?
