  2. Everyone's favorite mod, Dino Storage, has received a complete overhaul! 



    The overhaul has brought many new features, including ones that have been long awaited!

    • The Soul Trappers now retain costumes and saddle colors along with its stats and quality!
    • They are able to hold babies, featuring accurate maturity percentage and cuddle timers!
    • Mating timers are now displayed on the trapper inside of an inventory as well as where they usually are at the bottom, coming with a new format of DD:HH:MM:SS that counts down and will update every few seconds!
    • Flyer and water dino pictures at the top left have been updated to a water drop and a phoenix! A pacifier was also added at the top right corner to indicate if the dino is a baby.
    • Instead of the usual soul trapper icon in the inventory, trappers now display the icon of the dino trapped inside!
    • If a dino does not have certain characteristics such as mutations, tribe ranks, crafting skill, or imprint, it will not show on the trapper.
    • The trappers now function like weapons, holding them in your hand to use against a dinosaur and throwing them to release like a cryopod! This means that you will have to equip them before being able to throw them.
    • Soul terminals have gotten a UI update! 
    • Whenever you're searching for anything related to the mod, you can now search "DS" as it is included in every name.
    • There is also no longer a limit on how many trappers you may carry or store in one storage compartment at a time!

    It is very important that you replace your SOUL TRAPPERS and SOUL TERMINALS! 


    We are adding this mod on today and will keep the original mod on until January 15th so that players can move their souls from the old mod to the new! Afterwards we will be taking the original mod off forever!

    -Reduced mod file size by ~10%
    -Completely changed the ultimate spyglass
    -Spyglass is using Wildcards new functions for targeting and displaying info now
    -Text for spyglass is displayed on the left hand side of the screen and includes wild and tamed levels in each stat, Values of each stat, level, gender, and preferred food.
    -You can change the color of the text on screen by hitting "N" with the spyglass out!

    ● Dino Souls will now display crafting skill stats if the dino uses it (Gacha’s).
    *Description additions applied on retrap. Do so leisurely. No visual icon change.
    ● Stored dinos now gain the dino's natural passive experience gain. Effects are immediate so if you trapped a dino yesterday, you will gain experience from yesterdays time to the time of release. Due to server time differences, the passive experience will only be applied when trapped and released on the same server.
    ● Added INI config RemovePassiveExp, and it is false by default. This will remove passive experience gains.
    ● Added INI config PassiveExpMultiplier, and it accepts decimal values and is 1.0 by default.
    ● Fixed a bug where dinos pooped themselves on arrival.
    ● Fixed a bug where Desert Titans were having their health be modified on arrival.
    ● Fixed a bug where Dino Souls would not be dropped when over the limit because it was trying to do it too fast.
    ● Fixed a UI bug where the mouse would jump to the center of the screen when closing my custom UI's. Mouse will now retain it's position as you navigate through the menus.
    ● Added visual effects for dino arrivals. Just something I made quickly for now.
    ● Performance gains by limiting recovery to 1200 of the most recent trapping by default and will trim on first server start after the update. Please use the RecoveryFileLimit ini option to increase or decrease this number, but increasing it will make it harder to read from/write to and effect performance. The ini is clamped to 1800 max due to a large number of reports of lag and it's because they had a bloated recovery file which was not managed well, so this will fix that. This change will not limit how many dinos can be balled, but limit how many entries get stored in the DinoSouls.sav for recovery purposes.

    ● Removing or using a Soul Recovery entry now creates a log entry in your ServerGame.Log file. Server needs to be started with command line flag -servergamelog for this to work. Logs are generally stored in ShooterGame/Saved/Logs.
    ● Rephrased "Verify installed mods for modded dinos!" to something along the lines of "Verify installed mods, server settings, and kill zones" as it's a physical spawn validation check used to protect you from losing the Dino Soul in the instance that a dino was not physically able to exist. Whether or not it's from being unable to read the file (mod not installed), said dino is over X level limit (WC ini option), or it just decided to poof for any reason... That's when you get this message and it fail safes to not consume the Dino Soul.
    ● Renamed Soul Trapper engram from “EngramEntry_DinoSoul” to “EngramEntry_SoulTrapper” to better reflect it’s reference. You may need to relearn the engram and recraft them. Don't worry, this only effects the Soul Trapper item (cheap to make), and not the Dino Soul item (holds your dino).

  5. Our Extinction Server is finally here!

    With the release of Extinction, we've brought a different variety of settings and gameplay from our current cluster. It will NOT be merged at this time.

    Our IP is:



    • EXP is 3x (Player and Dino EXP are aligned with official increments.)
    • Current max level without ascension is 145, with is 175. Dino levels are capable of reaching 100 extra levels post tame.
    • Harvesting is 5x
    • Taming is 10x
    • Mating is 1x
    • Egg Hatch is 15x
    • Baby Mature is 10x
    • Baby food consumption is 1x (For whatever reason it was turned up on the hive so we have turned it back down.)
    • Cuddle interval is .5x
    • Egg lay interval is 5x
    • Resource respawn timer is .5x
    • Resource repression is 1x (How close resource will respawn to a player and structures.)
    • Corpse decomposition is 2x. (This means your death bag will last twice as long.)
    • Crop growth is 3x compared to 5x on the hive.



    • The server will have an auto restart every Sunday and Wednesday at 4AM CST, this will include a wild dino wipe.
    • Prevent building in resource rich areas ENABLED (Depending on how this goes, we will reevaluate at a later date.)
    • Crate Spawns on Structures ENABLED (This will remove being unable to build around drops. ANY person who is found blocking spawns will have their structures removed).
    • Corpse locator is ENABLED
    • Spawn animations DISABLED
    • Unlimited Respecs ENABLED (Official settings are 1 per level)
    • Allow platform saddle to have multiple floors ENABLED (Also applies to rafts)
    • Diseases are now NON-permanent
    • The HUD and visual settings that we use on the cluster will remain the same. (i.e. crosshair, damage markers, etc. are ENABLED)
    • Allow Raid Dino Feeding ENABLED (We intend to allow titans to be kept alive longer than the 5 day period official gives. We assume as of right now that it ties into this specific INI setting. We will make whatever changes we can in the future to allow this. 1 titan is allowed to be kept out on display PER tribe. Players may tame more and place them into dino souls. Players leaving the base may take one with them, but only 1 is to be on display at ANY given time.)
    • Flyers in caves are ENABLED
    • Allow unaligned dinos on platforms ENABLED
    • Override structure platform prevention ENABLED (Turrets will be allowed on platforms.)
    • Auto and fast decay of unsnapped core structures ENABLED
    • Destroy unconnected waterpipes ENABLED (After 2 REAL TIME days pipes will auto destroy.)
    • Passive defense damage ENABLED (Spike walls will damage wild dinos.)
    • Platform structures are set to a limit of 500. (We will be flexible on platform structures depending on what reaches this limit.)
