  1. New Budget CPU

Would still like to see what his current build is to see if the socket he has is anything of current gen or any of his hardware can be re-used. I.E. Ram
  2. New Budget CPU

So your total budget for a mobo, CPU and ram is 200-300? What is your current motherboard and ram?

Hey welcome. The sweet rolls are on the house.
  9. Graphics cards and processors

What is your budget for a CPU and Videocard? Also I need to know what motherboard you have so I can find CPU's that are compatible with what you currently have. Unless you're planning on getting a new mobo as well.
  10. Hello!

Hey Spikey dude. Welcome to ADK.
  11. PalmUp - Introduction!

Hey I'm from Southern California too! Welcome.
  12. Yeah I like it. The problem with PUBG is that it puts a heavy load on your CPU while not using much GPU which causes a bottleneck. By turning up some of the GPU intensive graphics options like Anti-Aliasing and Post-processing, you can solve this. The issue was finding a balance that doesn't totally nuke visibility and I think I achieved that.
  13. grizzlyyy's Smooth Gameplay/High FPS Guide There are many tweaks to this game that improve visuals and audio while adding better performance and less input lag. After vigorous testing and tweaking I have compiled the best settings for smoothest game-play and clearest visuals in this thread. Note: This is for users with Nvidia 10XX or AMD equivalent graphics cards and recent gen Intel 6XXXk processors or AMD equivalent. If you have a high end graphics card but a poor processor, this will not help you. This is intended for people with an above average gaming rig on recent gen hardware. For those with mid-range to low computers, the only thing I can say is to wait for the game to be more optimized. My PC Specs: OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4.6GHz CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 32GB 3400Mhz DDR4 Mobo: MSI Z170A GAMING M7 Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster ZxR SSD: Samsung 850 Pro Series 512GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB PSU: SeaSonic Platinum 860W Graphics Options Screen Scale Should be set to 100. This runs at your native resolution. Anything higher will result in stutters and frame lag. Anything lower and it will be harder to spot enemies. Anti-Aliasing Set this to Ultra. For some reason Anti-Aliasing doesn't take a huge toll in this game and is actually needed to get rid of those jaggy textures to be able to spot people more easily. Post-processing Set this to Ultra. It uses a bit of performance but makes the game less washed out so you can spot enemies in grass as they will be darker. Shadows This setting will nuke your frame rate and is overall unimportant. You're going to want to set this to Very low to see enemies more clearly. Texture There is not much of a difference between High and Ultra but there is almost a 10 FPS increase when using High instead of Ultra. Set this to High. Effects Set this to Low. This is all your explosions and gun fire effects. At higher settings the game will lag if someone throws a grenade or smoke at you. In situations like these you want to have the best FPS possible. Foliage Set this to Very low as anything higher causes effects on shrubs and grass which make it more difficult to see the enemy. View distance Set this to Low. Low view distance renders a quarter of the map, which is more than enough to see enemies far way. Motion blur Unchecked/Off. This is pretty self explanatory. Any blurring effects in a game that relies on visibility is bad. Just don't use it, ever. No seriously... After you are done your settings should look like this: Nvidia Control Panel 3D Settings Launch Options Right click on your steam icon in your system tray > click on Library > Find Player Unknown's Battlegrounds then right-click it and select Properties > Click the Set Launch Options button and then add "-refresh 144" into the text box without the quotes > Click OK and you're done. (Replace 144 with the maximum refresh rate of your monitor) Use Reshade to fix blur and colors Reshade is 100% legit and has been approved by the developers to use and will not trigger a ban. -Download Reshade from here. -During the installation you get asked to select the game executable which is located here: Steam\SteamApps\common\PUBG\TslGame\Binaries\Win64\Tslgame.exe. -After you've selected Tslgame.exe, click on the DirectX 10+ radio button. -When you get a preset list of shaders, select yes and when the list pops up select uncheck all. Select only Adaptive Sharpen and Technicolor2. -When you start the game, press SHIFT+F2 to open Reshade. -Make sure Adaptive Sharpen and Technicolor2 are both ticked. -Under Technicolor2, set strength slider to 0.500. It should look like this: Click the Settings tab and find Usage Mode. Click the drop down menu and select Performance Mode. Audio You have two options for proper sound. - 2-channel stereo sound without ANY surround emulation technology like Dolby Atmos or CMSS3D enabled. These technologies require 5.1 or 7.1 sound coming to the sound card to down-mix it back to stereo and manipulate it. If you have it on you will most likely miss out on many sounds and audio positioning will be awful. - 5.1/7.1 Surround if you have a supporting sound-card/headphones. Enable 16-bit 48Khz sound in Windows Sound Options. (24-bit 48Khz if your sound-card/on-board sound can support it). Reduce Input Lag Disable Mouse Smoothing for raw input of your mouse. Go here: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor Open up GameUserSettings.ini in notepad and add the following line at the bottom: bEnableMouseSmoothing=false It should look like this: While you are editing this file, scroll up to the top and make sure the values highlighted in the picture below match your own: Make sure you save the file when you are done. Disable Windows 10 Mouse Acceleration. Go to Control Panel and click on Mouse. Go to the Pointer Options tab and make sure "Enhance Pointer Precision" is unchecked. Also make sure the speed slider is set to 6/11 (half) for a true 1:1 sensitivity ratio. Other Misc. Tweaks Make sure your Windows Power Plan is set to High Performance Mode. It has been reported that since the Windows 10 Anniversary Update that Microsoft has forced users to run a bunch of shady background processes that monitor what the user is doing and reports back to Microsoft. Many people have reported that these "features" have caused in-game lag and stuttering. Once applying this tweak, many users reported that the lag/stutters disappeared. Download Ultimate Windows Tweaker from here and run it as an administrator. Click the "Security and Privacy" tab and check everything. Once you've done that click "Apply Tweaks" and voila, you're done. Enable "Game Mode" in Windows 10. Included in the Windows 10 Creators Update is a feature called Game Mode. According to Microsoft it allows Windows to detect when you are running a fullscreen game application and dedicate more resources to the game.
