  1. ● UI improvements and crash prevention. ~ INI configurable chunker for data. Having the Recovery feature read a file containing ~2,700+ dinos was too much for the client to handle all at once and would time out. The chunking resolves this issue. Special thanks to Chron for providing the file to debug with: https://gyazo.com/36dba8b1553f691cff52347c164bff97 ~ Easier/faster deletion system to help manage unwanted data in large arrays. You can do so by clicking "delete" in the recovery menu now. ~ "Old Dino Data" is no longer supported. As such, Red Souls that do not contain stats in their description will no longer function. This doesn't mean all Red Souls, but specifically ones that look like this: https://gyazo.com/d0d2f63b2724648ea663f414d5c4317d ~ Buttons now highlight when hovering over them, rather than darken. ● Dino Soul visual improvements. ~ Will no longer state that a Dino is Male if the dino has no gender. ~ Male dinos will be a blue soul, while females will be pink, and genderless will be purple. Keep in mind that items can only detect server side colors. Some mods can color dinos on client side to make them look colored but breeding and items will not detect such methods. ~ The person who trapped the dino is now stored in the item. ~ The class of the dino is now displayed on the item. Red text is displayed if the dino can't mate. Yellow text is displayed if the mating time is on cooldown and shows the remaining time. It still held the dino data, but you couldn't tell what dino was what until it was removed. This has been fixed. ● Dino Soul logic adjustments and item loss prevention. ~ Dino Souls now have a hard-coded delay of 1 second to prevent lag when trying to mass spawn: https://gyazo.com/946b279b3d55b84f746dce2f8755d50c and INI config for cooldown will now adjust that time. ~ It now checks if the dino was spawned/released before removing the Dino Soul and "Dino Failed To Spawn! Verify Installed Mods For Modded Dinos!" is the message you will see if it was incapable of being spawned. ~ Improved accuracy of the water check for water dinos. It should no longer allow smaller fishies, like the Piranha, to be released above the water. ~ Increased the life span when dropped from 2 minutes to 30 minutes. ~ Flyer prevention volumes added with INI to disable them, if desired. Comes with 2 INI's, one can disable the PvE only prevention zones, and the other fully disables the check. ~ Prevention volume improvement. It will no longer detect important paths or heavy resource areas as a preventable zone. I found that there were other settings that needed to be checked for to get better accuracy. ~ Preventing Upload via INI should now warn the users to remove them before transferring characters. ~ When an Admin releases a dino it now sends a HUD notification on anything it bypassed while being an Admin. This is helpful for users so that they know everything is working as intended, and when things are being bypassed. ~ Releasing dinos will now follow tribe group rank rules. As such, it won't allow release if the player's tribe group inventory rank and riding rank are not greater or equal to the dinos stored rank. Check can be disabled with INI. ~ Fixed the Drake camo bug. It no longer applies the camo buff on release. ~ Weight is now adjustable through INI with options to be based on dino drag weight. ● INI adjustments. ~ ADDED: ExcludeSource, IncludeSource, DinoSoulWeight, DragWeightMultiplier, ExcludeBuffs, RepDataSize, RepDataRate, PreventTransfer, TribeRankRelease, ReleasedTrapDelay, TamedTrapDelay, GhostTerminal, UnlockGhostTerminal, TerminalWeight, TerminalStackWeight, TerminalStackSize, TrapperWeight, TrapperStackWeight, TrapperStackSize, GunWeight, StructureTrap, TerminalTrap, PreventExtraZones, FlyerZoneRelease, PvEFlyerZoneRelease, RemoveValidCheck. ~ REMOVED: ExcludeVehicles ● Soul Terminal Changes ~ Improved collision detection. It will be more forgiving to allowing placement on slanted terrain. ~ Admin Recovery button will now appear for Admins whether their icon is visible or not. ~ Dynamic Text has been shifted up slightly to prevent clipping of lower case letters on some mesh styles. ~ Merging structures now obey the terminal limits. It will randomly destroy the merging teams terminals until the limit is met. There is no way to damage a ghosted terminal. ~ Soul Terminal will now drop unallowed items set through INI if said items become forcibly introduced through S+ pull transfers or otherwise. ~ Weight, stack weight, and stack size can now bed adjusted through INI. ● Trapping logic adjustments ~ Firing delay on the Soul Gun increased from 0.2 seconds to 1 second. ~ Soul Trapper weight, stack weight, and stack size can now be adjusted through INI. ~ Soul Gun weight can now be adjusted through INI. ~ No longer able to trap vehicles like rafts and ATV's. Dino Souls hold a lot of data for the items, data that is mostly irrevelant for vehicles especially when said vehicles behave like structures being picked up and placed and have their own item type they can be. ~ Various INI's added to check for X time after releasing or taming before allowing trapping and also various INI's to require being near friendly Soul Teerminals or structures. ~ Trappers will now check if the player inventory is full before allowing trapping. Both Dinos and Players have a 300 item max inventory size which accounts for not only the inventory but also the equipped and slotted items. I am now checking if the limit has not been reached and has the room needed for the mechanics involved. ~ No longer able to trap if the dino is mating or has mating progress. This is to help avoid losing mating progress by accident. ~ no longer able to trap if the dino is gestating or has gestation progress. This is to preserve the dino mating data.   2. I know this is an older post but there is a lot of ways to catch a legendary pokemon these days. We just got finished with an articuno raid day this last week, but you can get legendary pokemon by completing a week of research and everything as well. There are a lot more legedary pokemon appearing in gyms these days also, I managed to get myself a Regice, which i had never seen or heard of before i did this raid.

  4. Scorched Earth server problems

    Not dragonpunk but we will be opening an annunaki server in September. We were toying around with a mod showcase server idea that would feature different mods in like a 3 month ish rotation that’s something we could look at adding to that. Obviously the most popular of mods would be considered to be permanent. our box upgrade should be happening in September and thats our main restriction on adding new servers at this time. I’m glad you’re enjoying our servers. I would encourage you and your friends to join us in our discord channels we like meeting new people!
  5. Scorched Earth server problems

    So both of these are actually regular functions of ark that likely your last server did severely different. 1. There is no reason that your dinos should not respond to your whistles unless you have accidentally selected a tame group with your num pad or another key under you’ve set. By default your numpad let’s select tame groups that you can assign dinosaurs too in their radial menus. If for some reason you’ve accidentally hit #4 on your numpad you are now whistling for group #4 which I’m guessing you haven’t assigned to anyone and your dinosaurs will no longer respond to group whistles while this is selected. You can hit a bum pad key to select a group and hit it again to de select a group and go back to whistling all. Give that a try and let us know. If you have claimed these dinosaurs from another tribe make sure that they did not have the dino selected to ignore group whistles. 2. This sounds to me like your old server gave your dinosaurs free levels after tame. As in, the experience required for the first bunch of levels was actually zero. How this process works on normal servers: when you tame a dinosaur it’s level is increased based on effectiveness of the tame. Using the most ideal food and not allowing the tame to take damage after being knocked out will make the effectiveness and time to tame lower. When you tame a level 200 dino which is our servers wild maximum the dinosaur tamed at the most effectiveness will gain 99 extra levels. These levels are actually randomly assigned to the dinosaur which adds the RNG factor to taming. A dinosaur could have 20 of those points into oxygen or maybe even more which is not idea or most of the levels could be assigned to health or dmg which for a rex is ideal. After this taking process you start the leveling up process, this is where I think your old server allowed players free levels, for us our first level has next to know requirement and works up in an arc from there. Each level will require more experience than the last, the first 40-50 levels are decently easy to achieve, but these levels are not automatic. I honestly hope this explaination helps you understand your issue . P.S. you are on the right forum section but not quite the right sub forum but that’s just fine. Hope you enjoy the servers.

  9. Hi players! We didn't realize the impact that adding the soul mod to the server would have on aberration. With the ability to soul trap dinosaurs you have the ability to transfer to Aberration dinosaurs that wouldn't normally be allowed. I want to make this VERY clear... THIS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED Non aberration dinos will NOT be allowed on aberration in any capacity (This includes rexes, gigas and the like). We cannot prevent people from taking them over with this mod installed but we also feel that the mod adds WAY to much benefit to server performance and just cleans up peoples bases too much to consider removing it because of this, but we do want to maintain balance on the servers... to this end we will be implementing a 3 STRIKE policy for finding these dinosaurs on aberration, and this is PER TRIBE not per player. Strike 1: An admin will soul trap the dino and remove it for you. We will make note of your tribe, reach out to the players make sure they are aware of the rule and return their dino with a warning. Strike 2: The dino will be destroyed without notice Strike 3: Your tribes dinosaurs will be purged from Aberration without notice. Please do not ruin this mod for our players. This mod adds so much quality of life in terms of FPS and base loading, I would hate to have to remove it still due to players not regarding the admins on this.     Thanks again to everyone who helped us with voting this month. Every little bit counts when it comes to bringing in new players. The new months is starting up tomorrow and we would like to give away more saddles! We have decided as well that starting with this tally right here that the top three voters of the month which this month is @jayrestexas @Mayres457 and @Kody can have the option to have given an ascendant tek saddle blueprint. Though these will be pretty expensive to make, we would like the option to be there for those that want it. I have also been asked for some really strange things in replacement for saddles, like an ascendant paintbrush blue print. Things like this you need to shoot a message to feisty about for consideration for your prize instead of an ascendant saddle blue print.   17. Who wants to rock drake farm! Friday June 15th we will be doing a rock drake farming event! 7CST, 8EST We really only need 2-3 people on rock drakes to make this an easy feat, really the only other acceptable dinosaur to bring will be a Spino. ROCK DRAKES: Will be the ones in the most amount of danger, so please only bring a rock drake if it is high enough level to survive multiple wild rock drakes, and stuff happens so don't bring one you aren't willing to lose. SPINOS: If you bring a spino it must be at LEAST 170 wild caught, with a decent level of health and a decent saddle. Bring meat to heal, spino's will essentially be acting as our tanks. Preferably bread for an imprint damage reduction. Egg Distribution: We will be distributing eggs in as fair a way possible. We will use a random name picker to determine an order of picking out of the pool of eggs collected, and then the list will be reversed for the second round of picks.   18. Mod Showcase?

    Hi there folks. A lot of people have been bringing me a lot of interesting mods lately, and the long and short of it is, I really cant add everything you guys want to the hive. A lot of these mods are far too game changing, or are more goofy mods that can be considered bloat for a main hive (stuff like the additional skins mods). Up until last summer we had a server dedicated to showcasing other types of mods and game modes. We would put different types of overhaul mods that change the way the game is played, things to play when things slow down in the hive, or just a change of pace. I bring this up because a lot of the mods you guys are bringing up would be good types of mods that could be fun temporarily. We used to run this server on a monthly basis before wiping and redoing the mods but I think the short amount of time really deterred people from playing them, so if we are wanting to do this again it would be every couple months maybe 2 or 3, whenever people get bored of the novelty of whatever the game mode is. We did say that the build server was only temporary, so lets say when people get bored of the build server we turn it into something else thats CRAZY different and add a couple fun mods. Since the server would only be up a few months, rates would be higher than the hive, not crazy like it is on the build server with points per level, since the point of that is to essentially give you infinite resources, but an elevated tame and harvest rate above the hive. This is NOT a simple vote, I want to hear your thoughts. Some possibilities: Play as Dino Pokemon. Custom Maps Jurassic evolved Digivolved The Maze Runner Capture the flag.... ? There's a lot going on here in the ARK section and we want to make sure that all of our players are aware of whats going on around the section and aware of our current plans for the future and talk about how they might effect you. We would like to ask our players to join us Monday Evening at 8PM CST, 9 EST in the ARK Open chat 1 toom, for our first ever Open ARK section meeting. This meeting will take place AFTER whatever ADK meetings are happening (we have member/admin meetings every second monday). We hope that everyone who can make it will be there, because we are also going to be looking for player input on more than a few things! There will be cookies.
