  1. So we all know what speedtest.net is and we all know that you use it to measure your internet speed with it. Now to create a little bit of competition I made a Speedwave. Now most of you are probably going, what? And I was to, but basically it is a grouping of speed tests done by a set of people who have access to the speedwave via the public link (at the end). This is the link to the speed wave where you can see all of the stats and gathered tests Here is where you can do an actual test that will be contributed to the speed wave. (I don't know if this bottom link works or not, let me know)                 Just to get conversation going let me show you my speed...http://bit.ly/ZE8RrS
  2. Start LTC mining, $15+/day

Litecoins are a forum of cryptocurrency, like bitcoin. The difference between litecoins (LTC) and bitcoins (BTC) is that LTC provides faster transaction confirmations. LTC, like other cryptocurrencies requires no middleman, government, or third party to run it. This means that there is nothing truly backing it meaning that it could go to $1,000 (like BTC) or to pennies. As of the day I write this article LTC is at $40 and BTC about $1000. The reason I choose to mine litecoins is due to their low difficulty and latest rise in price, especially compared to bitcoin. To give you guys an idea of how different the two are, here’s a chart showing the difference in the amount you can make per day. You also can see that AMD cards have a much higher mine rate than Nvidia, this is due to the difference in architecture of the cards. Set-up: Download [attachment=1992:cgminer-3.7.2-windows.zip] and extract to your desktop or other desired location Create an account at ltcrabbit.com Go to "My account" > "My workers" and create a new worker. assign it a name and password. You can also PM me and I will be more than happy to set-up a worker under my account for you and then either send you all of the LTC or donate it all to ADK in your name. Next create a batch file with the following information: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100      setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1     cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://us.ltcrabbit.com:3333 -u YourLoginUsername.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword --intensity 13 Save it as "Mine.bat" in the "Cgminer-3.7.2-windows" folder Now run the Mine.bat file It will start up and within 15 seconds you should have a screen similair to this:   You are now mining for litecoins, you may now either leave it as it is or you may choose to mess with the settings in the batch file to optimize it for your GPU, https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison EDIT: When downloaded via Google Chrome you may encounter the error message stating that the file may be malicious, use options to select the file and click "Keep".
  3. Elite: Dangerous

I was doing some searching around the internet and I found this game called Elite: Dangerous. Essentially it is a space combat simulator with trading and such. It looks alot like EVE; except ten times better. The article that I attached below goes over it.
  4. This is just stupid

This is just plain crazy and extremely stupid. http://youtu.be/loGM3VvpsOE
  5. external graphics cards

@[member='DWhite240']   A USB 3.0 port has 5GBit/s bandwith while a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot has 16GBytes/s(128Gbit/s) bandwith, and PCIe 3.0 is double that. So a USB port wouldn't have enough bandwith even if they did make actual graphics cards that plugged in via USB.     Sorry but I am pretty sure you are out of luck as I haven't seen any USB graphics cards, other than the ones that allow you to hook up more monitors which isn't even really a GPU.   @[member='Bromance'] may want to add to this.
  6. TS3 Downtime Notice (Planned)

You could use them both, however your computer will only use the first one and then when the second one becomes unavailable it fails over to the second one.
  7. TS3 Downtime Notice (Planned)

@[member='FatalHit'], @[member='Y3K-Daniel'] is right. If you don't have anything in there then it  it will use your router, and that in turn will use whatever it is set to (usually your ISP).
  8. TS3 Downtime Notice (Planned)

Your ISP's DNS servers haven't updated with the new IP, So who's DNS servers are you using? Your ISP's or an alternate? I recommend Google's public DNS or Open DNS as they will update quicker because there is far more lookups going through them than your typical ISP's.
  9. TS3 Downtime Notice (Planned)

It will still be TS.ADKGamers.com:3796, however you may need to clear your DNS cache. Here's a link to a great article on how to do it, https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html.
  10. TS3 Downtime Notice (Planned)

This is good to hear, it was really annoying when the TS was down for an entire day due to DDOS.
  11. external graphics cards

@[member='DWhite240']   So based off of a previous post of your's, http://www.adkgamers.com/topic/52390-are-my-specs-good-enough/?p=207868, you mention that you want to play Battlefield 4 and/or ESO. This will not be possible with your current laptop. So the question is on whether or not do you want to and/or have the budget for a new PC.    The cheapest build that you can do right now would be about $500 for a desktop, and at least double that for a laptop. Based off of this, http://toptengamer.hubpages.com/hub/Best-500-Gaming-Computer-Build, guide.
  12. external graphics cards

Could you please post a link of this external graphics card? @[member='DWhite240']
  13. This is just stupid

    Well apparently not..
  14. L.A. Area Earthquake...

    Thanks, just downloaded it.
  15. Are my specs good enough?

@[member='DWhite240']   The big bottleneck that you have is the Intel HD graphics. I doubt you will be able to run Battlefield 4 or ESO with that.
  16. enhance computer gaming fps

Well from this I can see that you are using the graphics that are built in onto the CPU, this is your biggest bottleneck. Considering it is a laptop I don't know if you will be able to upgrade the graphics.
  17. enhance computer gaming fps

@[member='DWhite240']   As [member='Bromance'] said post your specs and give us a list of the games that you play as some games rely more on CPU than GPU, and vice versa.
  18. Four all-new maps focused on intense naval warfare await you in Battlefield 4 Naval Strike. To give you a detailed tour of these wet and wild vistas, we hand over to lead gameplay designer Gustav Halling. The four all-new maps in Battlefield 4 Naval Strike were designed with a simple premise in mind: to expand on what players loved with the naval warfare from Battlefield 4. It’s our hope you’ll enjoy the new maps immensely, whether you’re trying out the new Carrier Assault mode or piloting the new Hovercraft. Naturally, we have also crafted the surroundings with infantry and non-naval vehicles in mind. So without further ado, let’s go through the four maps of Naval Strike. Lost Islands Starting with Lost Islands, this map focuses around a crashed airplane located near the center of the map. The map itself contains several small islands surrounding the crash site that can be traversed using quad bikes around the whole map, or by using boats (including the new hovercraft) to take shortcuts across it. The key to master this map is to control the plane at the crash site, which can be blown open to give infantry some much needed cover. Another special area of this map is the cave blanketed by a waterfall, as it provides visual cover for patrolling boats and helicopters. Nansha Strike Nansha Strike is a very boat heavy map with several bases spread out in the water to battle it out on, while at the same time allowing total infantry control of the middle areas. The central area provides a lot of cover for infantry and is a death trap for water vehicles if they try to enter it via the small rivers. The surrounding bases can be captured from the water, with some offering big bases in the middle of the sea for infantry. This is where the more powerful vehicles spawn, which makes them key to own and control. Wave Breaker Wave Breaker has a unique submarine base hidden in the middle mountain which allows for tight close quarter combat, but it also has wide canals where it’s possible to do drive-bys with the attack boats to add extra mayhem to the mix. The middle area has many different Levolution possibilities. You can for instance bring down a submarine from its support and turn off the lights in the surrounding corridors. It’s also possible to stop boats from entering the area by closing the four flood gates and blocking the direct path from the bases on the two sides. The middle island will give players intense fights in Deathmatch modes. Operation Mortar Operation Mortar is our vacation paradise turned into a war zone, with wooden huts surrounding the islands. There is an old fort on the top of the mountain, which provides a great overview over the whole map. It also gives the team owning it a fast way to capture the other bases on the main island. In Rush, this levels starts from the bottom of the islands and goes up towards the fort, providing interesting and fun vertical gameplay which will provide a big challenge for attackers. Coming March 25 for Premium Members We hope you are excited to get hands-on with these new four maps and the full Battlefield 4 Naval Strike expansion when it becomes available on March 25. Remember to take the poll below and let us know which map you think will provide the best Battlefield battles via land, air and of course sea. Battlefield 4 Naval Strike is releasing first for Battlefield 4 Premium members on March 25.  Get Battlefield 4 Premium.   From: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/news/view/naval-strike-maps/

  20. Population

    Good job guys!
  21. Teamspeak hours

I don't think there is any tracker or anything that shows how much time you have on the TS, just as long as you stay active on TS and are around then you should meet the requirements.
  22. Low Ping? no problem

    No they aren't good rounds...
  23. Low Ping? no problem

I remember when I used to get pings like this (Time Warner Cable): And now with AT&T:
  24. ARMA 3
