  1. Hello everyone. I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade from my gtx 980 TI to a gtx 1080 TI or wait for the Volta Cards to be released. I'm an avid gamer and am looking for advice on this subject that has been haunting me for months. Here is my current build. I still need to update it in my profile. OS: Windows 10 ProCore: Intel Core i7-6700K 8M Skylake Quad-Core 4.0 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I76700KMotherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming 7Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 980TI (MSI Version 6gb)PSU: CORSAIR 850 watt power supplyRAM: 2x8gb CORSAIR DominatorStorage: 500 GB SATA III SSD (6tb external Hard Drives, 1 4tb, 2 1tb)Audio: Logitech G930 Headset/ASUS VN247-CMonitor: ASUS 24" LCDCase: Corsair Graphite Series 760T Full Tower Windowed Case - BlackMouse: RazorKeyboard: Blackwidow How much more power does the 1080 TI provide over the 980 TI? Is it worth upgrading if Volta may be coming, will Volta drop the 1080 TI like it's nothing? Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Graphics Card Question

I filled this out the best I could on my profile and I'll post it here too. Hardware Identification was never my strong suit, I could never find any classes on it at my community college. I'm much better at GUI.   OS: Windows 10 Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 3 (MS-7918) Processor: I7-4770 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processors Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 PSU: XTREMEGEAR 600 watt power supply (planning to upgrade this) RAM: 8gb Corsair Dominator Storage: 500 GB SATA II 3.0 GB 16mb 7200rpm (6tb external Hard Drives, 1 4tb, 2 1tb) Audio: Logitech G930 Headset/ASUS VN247-C Monitor: ASUS 24" LCD Case: NZXT M59 Mid-Tower Gaming Case Mouse: Razor Keyboard: Blackwidow Peripherals: Razor, Black Widow, Logitech G930
  3. Graphics Card Question

Hi, I currently have a gtx 760 in my computer and was looking to upgrade to a gtx 980 ti, but I know barely anything about graphics cards. So I was hoping you guys could help me out a bit. I know the pascal cards are coming along but I doubt I would really be able to afford it especially since it's supposed to be a Titan successor. Unless the price is going to be cheaper than $1k.   Currently I'm looking at these 2 cards, but I don't know which one is the better card. I primarily intend to use it for gaming, but will also do other minor tasks as well.   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=gtx%20980%20ti&bop=And&CompareItemList=-1%7C14-487-142%5E14-487-142%2C14-127-889%5E14-127-889&percm=14-487-142%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24%3B14-127-889%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24   Let me know your opinions.
  4. I need something new

Sword Art Online, Dog Days 1 - 3, Akame ga Kill!
  5. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt

I thought this was a great game. The Witcher series has always been a tragic tale, but I felt it was always such a good story telling though. Witcher 3 was a great way to end the Geralt Series and for them to start a new Witcher series, I can't wait to see what they come up with next.   There isn't a lot hack 'n' slash, it may seem like it sometimes but how the game was balanced pretty much requires you to work in tandem with the different skills and signs. Something to think about in the fact that it requires you think about each monster and their weakness as well as what you can do to stay alive while fighting them. There are even cases where certain signs can help you fight monsters far above your level and you can win if your patient enough.   A good game all around if your planning to want an experience in a good story and being able to strategize.
  6. Open World games or Closed borders

I prefer playing open world games, exploring new areas and finding new things and storylines. Even if it doesn't have a storyline in the new area, it's a chance to feel unrestricted. Take the first elder scrolls game, Arena. It had an area of  literal thousands of miles so you could almost never reach the end, but think of what you could explore and what you could find. Today, most games don't have that level of expansion, but more elaborate places to explore.
  7. Looking for Elder Scroll Online players.

I played for awhile, but I became frustrated finding groups to run dungeons with. Most groups were made up of 3 people, heals, dps, tank. My spellcaster was a dps and most groups would prefer a spellcaster that heals. Also, there's not really a balance in the game. It is really hard to solo a tank toon because it can easily be beaten.
  8. Game Loyalty

I'm loyal to the old rpg series like the Geneforge and Avernum series. Even the old Exile series before it was revamped into Avernum. Even though it's mostly text based storyline, I still enjoy it. The details that can be put into written form, the customization and different class/weapon choices. I've always loved it.
  9. Yes, I did think about video games in school. I was kind of an outcast in school, liked being by myself with a book, chess club. I loved gaming because it allowed to experience and improve my imagination to a new level. A place I could escape to when I was bored or just wanted something to think about.
  10. Playstyles anyone?

My playstyle is something akin to spec ops. I specialize in getting places that are hard to get to using a solo play style, all I need is a gun and turn me loose. I also do good cover and support with a sniper rifle. I am however weak in squad plays, I prefer solo or two man teams.
  11. Your favorite gun and setup after patch

SRR 61, Flash Hider, 8x Scope, Straight Pull.
  12. Favorite handgun?

44 Magnum with RDS, excellent backup. Good for distant and close range headshots.
  13. What is your IGN?

    My IGN is Melodius.
  14. Melodius Intro

I played for awhile, but fell out of it. Everyone I used to play with just started disappearing.
  15. Melodius Intro

It is something that does not seem like it will change in this world.
