BIOS Settings

Recommended Posts

So i have a Dominator GT70 Laptop, and like all gamers, if i can get more performance without spending the money, that'd be awesome. Now, i've never touched the BIOS before, and i know it has potential to mess up everything. My question is, do you recommend i change some settings, and if so, could you please send me a informative guide or help me out yourself on what to change and how to change it. My laptop specs are:

Intel i7-4702MQ 2.20GHz

Intel HD Graphics 4600

Nvidia Geforce GTX 870M

Samsung SSD 840 Evo 120 GB

8 GB RAM

Windows 8.1

Thanks

No. Laptops have terrible cooling. Overclocking is not recommended. I don't even think you can overclock a laptop's CPU even if you wanted to.

I agree with @[member='MajesticHF'] on not overclocking a laptop.  Such a tight confined space doesn't have many aftermarket cooling options for overclocking either.

I had to look that machine up.  I had never heard of that brand before.  Looks like an interesting brand.

I do enjoy MSI quite a lot, but for having a gaming laptop, it's never worth the price for the performance compared to desktop.
