[TIP] How to manually change own character's name [Nexus Mod]

This way is way easier to do then Hex Editing.

 

All you need to do is install the Vortex Mod manager off the https://www.nexusmods.com/

 

then you can download the https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/650 off the website using the mod manager option and install the mod.

 

after which you can then run the game and use the edit button that is now on the character select screen to change your name..

 

what this mod does is create a new character with the new name and then copies all the save data from the old name to the new name.
