why do you want to downgrade your system?

Well, what I have is "overkill" for the games I play and I don't really "Play" video games that much, not as much as I used to..maybe 4 hours a day?

I'm planning on building/upgrading a Dell Optiplex with an i7-7700. Said i7-7700 can still handle all the games I play even at 1440p which I don't play at, I'm a 1080p pleb still.

This i7-7700 paired with a 70W TDP Card that doesn't require supplemental power, can just be powered through the PCIe x16 slot.

That's why I'm trying to get a figure on my PC, the total cost of the Optiplex route would be just shy of $500 USD.

4 hours a day is still a decent amount of time gaming. But I totally get it if you're looking to make some money back off the build you currently have. I've personally been out of the parts loop for PC's so not sure what you could get for your current setup.

PCPartPicker has all my parts listed at $1248 so I think $1000 would be fair.

Definitely agree that seems reasonable and making $500 doesn't hurt in the current times if you're good with the downgrade you want.
