Okay, I was the 1st to post I would not buy another COD game.... Well, I lied! And I love it!
Bought it for the kids, and got drawn in... Tis a great well rounded game that blows all but COD 4 out of the water.....
Rinse and repeat? Yes, but polished very well with only 2 issues I see.
The game supports dedicated servers, but also uses IWnet crap thing.. Ironically the dedicated servers are empty and IWnet is used! After all that bitching????
My 2 issues: Character collision is horrible.. causing lag like issues as you tela-port around the characters. 2nd issue is one of the helos is way OP. If you don't keep a sam site ready, could epic fail the round.
Pro's: Maps are amazing! Totally different feel, one can tell other people worked these maps. Most are very well balanced. The perks are more on line with COD4, and weapons are balanced well. Not noticed a epic weapon yet. Wish they would bring "war" game mod back, but the TDM confirmed is awesome!
Over all, it is MW2 done right, great polish, and balanced maps and weapons. Hopefully more peeps will use dedicated servers soon, but right now the IWnet is okay and better (map vote out of 2 maps for next map).
One last note.. Weird how the game reviews where average to horrible before release, but now are average to great......

ive always enjoy serious sniping (headshots or no shots) and ive always felt the maps on COD were just too small so ive preferred the BF games

I think it's ridiculous that while they allow dedicated servers you can't rank or level up in any way on them. You can only do so on P2P matchmaking which is fucking awful. That and the fact that I see it as nothing more than MW2.5 are the reasons I'll never buy that game. :\ CoD4 remains the best in my opinion.

Agree with sniping... But playing both games, really can't compare the two as they are so different... BUT if I had to choose, I prefer BF3.... But COD is run and gun, BF3 is large and slower going.

I definitely gotta say I like them both since they are two different off brands of the FPS genre. Battlefield being the tactical teamplay FPS and Call of Duty being the arcade run n gun FPS. I can't say which one I prefer more, but I have to say thanks to my father in law for showing me 2142 thus thrusting me into the Battlefield community. I even started playing 1943 on Xbox Live and have copies of BC2 and BF3 waiting for me on PC.
I know each game has its hardcore base of fans that think their game > other game and vice versa, but being a gamer that favors FPS games over any genre (#2 for me is old school platformers) and is adaptable to both Xbox style and Mouse/Keyboard style, I just have to play them all good or bad. I, however, keep my Call of Duty's on Xbox and my Battlefields (except 1943) on PC.

The only run and gun arcade FPS game that's even worth consideration is N64 Golden Eye! End of story!
brb while I go get a 25 kill streak so I can kill the other team because that's what happens in Iraq.
ok ok ok I'm done! sorry = X

I'm glad to hear some positive things about MW3 and I appreciate the negatives as well.
I've always been a CoD fan, but I've really gotten into BF3 lately and it's taking all my time. I will probably get MW3 later (when warjr is ready), then we can do the coop thing together as well as play the campaign.
I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying BF3, especially since I rage quitted BF2BC on a daily basis and never really got into it (except that I thought the campaign was pretty cool).
Looking forward to playing MW3 after it goes on sale or something. As for now, BF3 has all my bandwidth.

Two great games I think are worth purchasing! After 5 hours of playing battlefield nothing feels as good as catching a ridiculous kill streak in COD for some instant gratification
Im just waiting to get most of my BF3 Awards until I move on to MW3. But once I do i'd like to know who'd be interested in playing with me cuz i wont lose
