Anyone got any recommendations on mice to use (wired, wireless, brand, model, etc) and BF3 sensitivity levels?

i can help with the wired/ wireless argument and give you some insight on mice. ALWAYS GO WIRED. If your going for a gaming type setup wired will and always has been faster than wireless thats just the way it is. now when it goes to specific brands, the razer naga hex is awesome, it has a 5600 dpi setting 1ms response time and has 12 fully programmable keys (7 thumb controlled, middle click, left and right click, and 2 for dpi increase/ decrease below middle click.) when it comes to keyboards obviously still you want wired (less lag the better). When it comes to recommendations, if you have the change to blow on it get a mechanical keyboard Tt eSports makes 2 of them that ive heard good things about. When it comes to mouse settings everyone has their own opinions on this but mine is as such: mouse acceleration OFF, windows mouse speed: 6th tick. My polling rate is maxed out at 1000mhz. When it comes to dpi I have 5 different ones saved that I use for different situations, but they step up from 600dpi all the way up to 1400 in increments of 200 (600=trolling around large open maps, 1000=metro type CQB maps, and 1400 is for flight.) The higher the DPI, the faster the movement but that trades off with precision aiming capability. 1/3 of a cm is alot harder to precisely move to as opposed to 3cm. Its a shitty trade off but if you can find what works for you there and fine tune with in game sensitivity levels youll find the sweet spot eventually...like in high school xD

It isnt as much as what would be "our" recommendation to "you" because your hand anatomy isnt the same as ours. Go to the computer store and use a baseline mouse as your reference (Microsoft Intelli-mouse is my favorite baseline reference mouse because of the neutral shape). Pretend that you are using it to scroll left and right quickly in-game, take notice at how your hand behaves, like what Razer specifies, there are people who "palm", "claw", or "fingertip" grip the mouse. Take a look at the posture and compare it to your natural hand posture.

Now that you know how your hand behaves, then it is time to pick the right mouse for your style. In my own experience with FPS games, I tend to use "fingertip" style grip which uses quick, precise transitions. a small mouse like the Razer Salmosa is perfect for my style. This is what I currently use and it doesnt matter what weapon system I am using in-game, the right combination of style and equipment will rake me a respectable amount of kills.

Flipping hoole took all the good advice I would have given.

Just listen to what he posted and you won't go wrong.

I use a Logitech G500 and keep sensitivity on it around 800 I think. and in game I barely have like 1/10 of the mouse sensitivity on.
