One of my buddy's from high school was recently on the today show and good morning america. He's an ex-marine that went through a lot of hardships in the past couple of years. He recently became a underwear model and a lot of people are noticing his compassion and optimism as well as his dedication to let nothing hold him back. If you would like to upload your videos for AOB to place on the ADK YouTube channel then please use that to upload them. As it says, it will only accept the file extensions of "zip", "rar" and "7z". All videos need to be compressed like that so if you choose to do a AVI to a MP4 or whatever I do not need to allow all the different media types out there in the script.

If you try to upload anything besides a "zip", "rar" or "7z" it will show it as complete but it will not be written to the back end. This is done this way so people who cant read will have false hope that their file is actually there since they decided to use a file extension I said above was not supported.

Once you have uploaded your file simply reply to this thread with the follow text below..

If you send him a PM about this its only going to make it not only longer to get your vid up, but might be ignored all together since this topic exists with clear instructions. Doing the @AOBLXIX will send him a notification to look in this topic for your entry. He will then either get your video up himself or pass it to someone who has access to the ADK YouTube channel.

Your video will be deleted from the uploader once YouTube has made it live. We will not be holding storage for your videos so once its up on YouTube, its gone from the uploader. This is being placed in effect to keep directory sizes down since ADK does do backups daily and your files would be part of that backup causing more time for the backup process seeing as most vids are usually over 200+MB depending how long they run.

That should cover just about any questions you have. Also, this is not a place to ask for someone to edit your video footage. We have a request section in the Design section for that if need be.

Your Explanation: I was using the M249 (machine gun thing) the entire time while providing support in the lockers. I don't know why I even got the ban for m320 LVG because I never even changed my weapon, at all. I was getting a ton of kills and I don't know if the admin got confused or what because there were OTHER people throwing grenades for like 10 hours and they got zero reprimands. Next thing I know, I was banned without any warning for something I totally did not do.

Reason to Un-Ban: I did not use the m320 LVG. So there is no reason I should get banned for it.

What does =ADK= Mean To You?: ADK means more than wearing a tag to me. Unlike many of the guilds/groups/outfits I've been a part of ADK takes community seriously. I've never seen that with larger teams, which is why I've traditionally been on smaller outfits.

It is so refreshing to see a large, organized, friendly group of people that are dedicated to their community. I never thought I'd see that, but now that I have I'd love to be a part of it.
Why do you want to be a part of =ADK=: Similar to above, I believe that ADK is a community that is truly "a different kind." Founder - One of the people who helped create ADK in the beginning

Community Manager - think of them as the board of Directors offering funding and high tier decision making

Lead Veteran Admins - as their title suggests they are in charge of the other Veteran Admins but also have similar duties as them

Veteran Admins - a Veteran Admin is a person who has committed their time to the ADK community by making all their efforts and policy ADK and putting the communities needs above their own.

What qualifies for being a Veteran Admin?

They also have proven themselves to other high tiers and were recognized for this, when a need for a Veteran Admin position creates itself, the Founder screens through all the members on his watch list and chooses the most appropriate one.

Also, as previously stated, they put the Communities’ needs above their own.

Veteran Admin Perks?

• Additional Teamspeak Access and Powers

• Additional Forums Access and Powers

• Ability to talk to the Founder any time he is online in Teamspeak

These are just some of the perks for being a Veteran Admin, there are more obvious ones such as, “Influencing various area’s of the community to help spur development of these area’s”, etc...

What do Veteran Admins do?

Since you already know what Veteran Admins are to an extent, lets go over what they they are supposed to do. They are supposed to be assigned an area of the community that needs direct oversight, a manager if you will. The Founder is very busy working multiple jobs AND running the Community so he cannot obviously do everything which is why Veteran Admins exist.

As an example I will use myself, Isponsor multiple area’s but for say Battlefield 3, I am responsible for the following:

• Promoting BF3 Admins/Advisers

• Managing/Updating Server Plugins and Settings

• Regulating the Admins/Advisers (Meetings, drama, issues, etc...)

• Screening and Pruning the BF3 area of the Forums

• Updating and Screening the BF3 Admin/Adviser Area of the forums

There are more duties for Battlefield 3 but this is a brief summary. The bullets are things that need to be done by a higher tier Admin hence why Veteran Admins exist, they have been given the authority to make decisions on behalf of ADK’s values.

What exactly do you mean by sponsor?

Most Veteran Admins are appointed to a position and they sponsor the area they have been designated, as in they provide any high tier assistance needed: Teamspeak, Forum, or high level decision making for that particular game.

What does it mean to be sponsored?

A game that has been sponsored is able to work directly with high tier admins who then communicate all on-goings directly to the Founder himself. A fast and efficient process that does not involve spamming the Founder’s inbox.

The sponsored game would receive support Forum Side and Teamspeak side as that Veteran Admin’s purpose would be to help that game grow and flourish by doing his job and supporting the Game Admins themselves.

How do I get sponsored?

There is no application for this currently. The reason being, there has to be enough interest shown for a game to be sponsored, not just 5-10 people who want it, but a large volume of dedicated and interested players who show an avid interest in bringing a game to ADK and will support it even in tough times.

If you believe you already have met that above criteria, you could always ask a Lead Veteran Admin, if there is a way to get said game sponsored, they can provide you with names of any available Veteran Admins who would be willing to step up and help sponsor you. The Lead Veteran Admin could also tell you that you have not met the criteria yet and needs to see more.

So how do I become a Veteran Admin?

Its a biasedly chosen position, people are not chosen based on their own opinion of themselves. They are chosen based on the Founder’s opinion of them which can result from seeing said members interact on the forums, teamspeak, in game, and/or as a current in game admin.

Due to the fact that it is a biased position, whining that you may have not been nominated for such a position will only hinder your future attempts at it as Veteran Admins put their own interests aside in return for doing everything in the name of ADK under the pretenses that the Founder has set.

What can you bring to =ADK=: Most likely not a whole lot from a technical perspective. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy socializing in games, but as much as I would like to pursue competitive gaming I am often limited by the time I have available.
What does =ADK= Mean To You?: It's a community and one that I have come to enjoy over the last few weeks. I have read other comments in the forum that some of you feel ADK lacks in-game cohesion, but I have found the opposite in my experience in PlanetSide 2.
Why do you want to be a part of =ADK=: I enjoy the tactical communication and desire for other ADK gamers to group up together even for a bit. I would like to add to that culture by making people feel welcomed and that they can be a desired part of the gaming community along other people.
