Changes to Donations - Coming Soon!

Currently we have a "Donor Status" set up for those who chose to donate for one of those Statuses. Well that worked for us while we were a smaller community, but with us growing like we have been, we need something that is more feasible for those who donate.

We aren't sure exactly what we will be doing, but it will include a few different things like being able to listen in on meetings, join in on discussions in meetings, and more info to come soon. So what it comes down to is, we want to give back to those who give to us, and it's just a matter of figuring out exactly what we will be donig.

All of the admins who joined in the last meeting agreed this would be a good change, so we hope you are looking forward to it as well. If you haven't noticed as well, everybody who donates will be able to be a part of the Monthly Raffle.

Have you ever wanted to know some information from the guys on the top of the scoreboards and how they do it? Or what type of equipment they use and why? Well now is your chance to ask questions and find out.

LethalWMD, Elegy, 9091NE and kmk01 will be writing articles responding to questions and giving some tips and tricks of how they do what they do so well. We will be opening up a section of the forums later this afternoon to start asking some questions that you'd like to have answered.

Make sure to let your friends know to come and register on the website because not all of the articles will be available to guests who aren't registered. As well as they won't be able to ask questions without registering!

Be looking for these articles to start in the coming week!

Passive Aggressor (pA) joins =ADK=

In a recent discussion with the members of Passive Aggressor, they have now joined the =ADK= Gaming Community, and will be taking part in all tournaments as 'ADK'.

For those of you who don't know those at Passive Aggressor, they are some great guys with tons of talent! If you've been on the =ADK= Servers, I'm sure you know who they are. This is great news for both parties and we are glad to have them on board. We will be supporting them throughout the rest of their competitions in the current TWL as well as their upcoming and future competitions.

We are in the process of getting a scrim server set up for them as well as for those in ADK who are looking to take part in Competitive GamePlay. There will be more information in the member section of the forums regarding the competitive aspect. So members please be on the look out for that.

This is going to open up many opportunities for us, and is definitely something I've been looking to do for quite a while, and was quite happy when they brought this up to me. Be on the lookout for more information that might be posted.

Battlefield 3 - New Admins

We would like to announce our new Battlefield 3 Admins. As you all know there have been a lot of hackers joining the server, and just a lot of people causing problems. Whether that be base raping, trying to make the entire server rage, disrespecting admins or even just those people playing in the server.

These people that we have chosen are people who have been very active on the servers, the website and team speak. Those 3 things are all something that we ask for from our admins, on top of the level of maturity to put certain things behind them while still creating a fun gaming environment.

So listed below are the 3 members who we will be promoting to Battlefield 3 Admins. We feel that they will be a great addition and will fit in well with the rest of the admins.

Battlefield 3 - Looking for Admins

We are currently looking for admins to help admin our Battlefield 3 Servers. As any of you who have played on our servers know, there have been plenty of hackers and people who have caused problems. Like base raping on our Conquest server when asked not too.

While we do have admins for the server, we feel that we need more admins, especially during the late evening and early morning hours for us here in the United States.

Anyone will be able to submit an application but there are a few requirements before you are able to become an admin. The requirements are:

Must be an =ADK= Member. (You can apply to submit the member application and then submit the admin application)
Must wear the ADK Tags in BF3 at all times.
Be active on not only the servers but MUST be on Team Speak, as well as visiting the website frequently to respond to any issues that might occur as well as posting about bans or other problems in the server.
Mature and level headed. (Meaning not kicking/banning people who might be better, or someone you have a personal grudge with, etc. . )
Following the rules/requirements that have been set for admins

As you can tell there aren't many requirements, but the requirements that we do have set in place are ones that we set for all of our servers. We want to keep our reputation as a fun, laid back gaming community in all of our servers. And we want to be able to have people of all skill levels to be playing together and having a great time.

We do not have a set number of applications that we will be accepting so if you feel that you fit the job for this, than fill out an application that we have posted. You can view that application HERE.

3rd Annual Up-All-Night

=ADK= is proud to announce our 3rd Annual Up-All-Night Event!

Date: December 30th - January 1st
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Price: $25 in person (3 day admission price) / $10 Internet Participation
Prizes: TBA - Cash Prize
Rules: TBA

This event will not just be taking place via Internet Participation like is has in past years. This year we are having the main part of this take place in Arizona.

Sign Ups will begin shortly as we get all the details set in place, like prizes, and rules.

Prices may vary, for example being reduced a few dollars, but we are looking to make this a fun event for everyone!

If you are looking to come in from out of state to join us, let us know and we should be able to figure out some sort of housing for you so a hotel isn't needed!

Well after a great day for the =ADK= Gaming Community with our first 2 wins in the LoL Tournament why not give some more news about the community?

Promotions/Leadership Roles:

Leroydasquirrel - Promotion to Tier 1 Admin
Leroy has not only been supporting the =ADK= Gaming Community for quite a long time now. He's been a Tier 2 Admin, and we have decided after all the things he has done for the community, some things that most people don't know about, it'll be best for the community to promote him to the next leadership position in the community. He will be a great addition to our Tier 1s, something which we don't just give away freely.

SubwayGroper - Promotion to Tier 2 Admin
Subway has been with the community for quite a while, and he is always a big supporter of the "community" aspect that we are about here at ADK. He has helped put together the LAN Party that took place in Arizona and will be helping put together more events in the future. On top of those things, he's always been trying to do more for the community by giving many great ideas and following through with them as well. This is another promotion in which we feel will help the Gaming Community greatly.

TheLedStone - Promotion to Team Fortress 2 Admin
As most of our admins have been, LedStone has been a member for quite awhile. He has shown interest in becoming an admin, and we feel he will a big help for the servers when some of the other admins aren't around. So if you ever need anything in the TF2 Servers

Public ADK Minecraft Server
The ADK Gaming Community now has a public minecraft server. CookieMonster is in the one who will be doing most of the work with that server, so if you have any questions please feel free to ask him. Or if he's not around a few others might be able to answer your questions.

We have pre-ordered a Battlefield 3 Server, so we will have it up and running as soon as the game is released! Make sure you're around for the release of BF3 and come join us on the =ADK= BF3 Server!

In the first ever competitive League of Legends tournament for the =ADK= Gaming Community, we have come out of the gates swinging!

Our first 2 matches we went better than anybody could have expected. Sure there were some hiccups along the way with getting everybody ready for the match, but we didn't let anything stop us. I think everyone who competed can agree that both games were quite fun and we look forward to our next matches!

Team Fortress 2 Admin - Purchase now for $...

We are now offering everyone the ability to purchase admin for our TF2 Servers. We came up with decision since there are not always admins online when there are problems in the server. If you're worrying about people abusing the powers there will be rules set in place for those situations if they do occur and those people will be removed from their positions.

$5 USD per Month

Rules and Conduct

No kicking/banning for no reason
No random votes
No map votes in the Badwater/Goldrush and Trade Server
No retaliation via "Fun Commands"
All admin actions will be monitored daily

We are offering this for you to take care of people who are hacking/mic spamming/etc. . This is not to be used for personal gratitude and retaliation, but to monitor the server and take care of issues that arise.

We reserve the right to remove admin rights from those who can't follow the rules set in place. There will be no refund at the time of removal. We will soon be upgrading our website to the latest version of the software that we use. There probably won't be much if any downtime that you will notice, but you will probably notice a new look and some changes.

All we ask is for your patience during the update. If you see anything that is broken and we haven't done anything about it feel free to let us know. But we should be able to have everything running smoothly shortly after the update!

TF2 Going Free-to-Play! Join =ADK= Today!

This is great news for all the fans of the =ADK= Gaming Community who always wanted to join us on TF2 but was never able to purchase it! It seems as though it will now be a Free-to-Play game! It's currently in a "Free" state right now so go download it and Join =ADK= on our servers today!. You can read the rest of the article below.

Last week, a report surfaced that Valve was working on a free-to-play project. Today, that project was revealed as being the PC edition of the popular shooter Team Fortress 2, which was initially shipped as part of the compilation The Orange Box in 2007. Since then, the Windows version of the game has undergone many updates, the latest of which will apparently transform it into a microtransaction-funded title.

"We've been toying with the idea of making Team Fortress [2] free-to-play ever since the Mann-conomy update," Valve software developer Robin Walker told British magazine Develop. Introduced last September, the Mann-conomy system let players spend real-world cash on in-game items, ranging from weapon kits to outfits for the soldier, sniper, scout, pyro, and spy classes.

According to Walker, microtransactions will be the sole source of funding for Team Fortress 2 going forward. The game is currently offered as a two-week free trial on Valve's online service Steam, with all pricing having recently been removed as part of an extensive update. Develop reports that Valve will forgo any other funding option, such as advertising or a premium subscription model.

What's better than being able to get free things from =ADK=?

The current things we have available for you to purchase with points are:

Silver Donor Status
Gold Donor Status
Platinum Donor Status
=ADK= T-Shirt

We will be putting more things up for purchase like Gift Cards, Steam Games, Computer Components, etc. . The more activity we see from this, the more we put up.

Now to explain a little bit about this "Points" system. Long story short is that you will get more points for the more you do through out the community. That could be anywhere from creating topics, replying to topics, writing reviews, recruiting people to join our website, being in the top 5 stats on the game servers.

Points will also be given for competitions like the 'Screenshot of the Month' and if the admins feel that certain people around the website and community have been doing a lot for the community. Even if they aren't a member we will be giving some points out as well. Everyday that you are active in our Team Speak you will also be getting 30 points added to your account.

So we hope that you start becoming more involved with the website, posting more and giving your opinions and thoughts on certain subjects. You'll also get points for giving people positive reputation so if you like someones post, let them know! Posting reviews will get you more points than any other posting, so if you have a review for a certain game, post it and we'll put it on the main page. Another way to get some points is to welcome new members of the website by posting a comment on their profile.

We will be trying to add on more to the system as time goes on so stay tuned to any further updates! But as you can see it is quite easy to get points and to be able to get things from the points that you don't even have to spend your own money on!

While we haven't really made a big interest in Affiliate relationships with other sites, we have been contacted by a few people. Some we decided it would be best to not be affiliated with because we felt it wouldn't work for either side, but we have recently decided to become affiliates with Fuzed Gaming.

Fuzed is a gaming site mainly for Xbox users, while they do still have some PC, and PS3 users. They host some weekly events, and have some great videos on their YouTube Page so check those out.

So anybody who's interested in looking for more Xbox users to not only game with but to talk with as well, go browse their site and introduce yourself!
